Activation key API

Hello,

In order to be able to automate the creation of ELK Clusters and ROR installation, is it possible to use an API in order to generate the activation keys for Enterprise licenses?

Hello Diana,

We could implement activation key generation via API, but keep in mind you will need to know the cluster UUID at the time of generation of the activation key. Is that a blocker for you?

If yes, you could get a OEM addon to your subscription, so you can generate activation keys that do not depend on cluster UUID.

I would prefer it without having to know the UUID. How can i obtain this addon?Does it imply any additional costs?

Yes the capability to generate activation keys that work in any cluster has a much higher cost connected to the access key leak risk, and we want to limit this practice to customers that are very sure they can’t go ahead without this capability.

So we introduced an optional subscription add-on that will be billed at an extra cost on top of the normal subscription.
