I plan to move to Opensearch (mainly because of their alerting plugin), but would like to continue using RoR for security
I guess it shouldn’t be too hard to modify RoR plugins to work with OpenSearch and having the alternative to their security plugin would be nice too?
Any plans about that?

We didn’t look into compatibiity with Opensearch yet. But, because all Opensearch code is released as Apache 2.0 license we could even think about forking some plugins (i.e. Alerting), make them work with the real Elastic stack, and bundling them in our product.
